Join colleagues for a fall book club conversation about burnout, academic work, and the culture of productivity in higher education. In Unraveling Faculty Burnout: Pathways to Reckoning and Renewal, Rebecca Pope-Ruark draws on research, faculty stories, and her own experience to examine why overwork and chronic stress have become so normalized in academic life, particularly for women in higher education. Together, we’ll reflect on the book’s four pillars of burnout resilience—purpose, compassion, connection, and balance—and consider both the personal and systemic conditions that shape our work.
Join us in person or online for thoughtful conversation about workload, well-being, and what more sustainable academic cultures might look like.
