Faculty Book Club reads "Reader, Come Home"

Friday October 9th 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join colleagues for a fall book club conversation about reading, attention, and learning in an increasingly digital world. In Reader, Come Home: The Reading Brain in a Digital World, Maryanne Wolf explores how digital technologies may be reshaping the ways we read, think, reflect, and engage with complex ideas. Together, we’ll consider what her work can teach us about deep reading and critical thinking—and what these questions might mean for our students and our teaching in the age of AI.

Settle in with the book and join colleagues online from across PSU for thoughtful, unhurried conversation. Whether you come with a page full of notes or simply a few questions you’ve been turning over, we hope you’ll join us.
