When looking at “Other Costs,” the trend over time shows an overall rise until 2014, followed by a general decrease until 2022, with a number of sharp spikes and drops. 2003 starts at 20.00, drops to 0 in 2004, rises to 31.00 in 2006, and then continues to rise until reaching 50.00 in 2021. Barriers then drop to 0 in 2012 and rise to 44 in 2013, and then rise to their peak at 52.50 in 2014, and then decrease over time, with the exception of another sharp spike from 2018 at 11.67 to 32.27 in 2019. Barriers drop to 0 in 2020, rise slightly to 11.56 in 2020, and end at 4.29 in 2022.

The general trend comparing average barriers across all years and 2022 shows barriers in 2022 being significantly lower than the average of all prior years. Exceptions include slightly higher scores in 2022 in the areas of ‘Accessibility Needs’ and ‘Covid-related Barriers’ compared to the all year average.
