Internship Information

Portland State University takes advantage of its centralized location in the Portland community by creating mutually-beneficial partnerships with employers in the region, and by facilitating opportunities for students to experience real-world learning within those companies and organizations.  All academic programs at PSU encourage students to become engaged in community-based learning opportunities such as internships, practicum, field work, research, and volunteering.

INTERNSHIPS OVERVIEW & SEARCH TIPS This discussion-based workshop covers topics such as the benefits of doing an internship, search tips, informational interviewing, networking, how to create your own internship, etc. Q&A time is available.
Marisa Miller, Internship Coordinator

Meet Marisa Miller, our Internships Coordinator at the University Career Center. She helps students to find resources and create opportunities that will further their learning and create pathways from the classroom to a career. Marisa is on leave until Fall 2024, but you can meet with a career counselor for help!

"It (the appointment) was very informative and helpful. I was really nervous going in, but left feeling much better about what we talked about and my search."
