Zoom Webinar

Service Description

Zoom Webinars support less interactive presentations to larger audiences, in cases where the features of a traditional Zoom Meeting would be inappropriate.

Service Details

Zoom Meetings are best suited for interactive sessions where everyone participates. Zoom Webinars are ideal for large audiences and events open to the public. They allow for less interactivity and typically have one person or a small group speaking to an audience.

Unlike Zoom Meetings, which can be hosted for free, Zoom Webinars require an additional license that must be purchased and associated with an individual account. This service is best for departments which self-produce webinars regularly. Event AV Support is better suited for those that would like help producing and running a webinar or only host infrequent webinars.

Charges and Fees

The cost of a Webinar license (currently $1,215/year) is defined in the contract that PSU maintains with Zoom. If a renewal of the contract modifies the cost, it will be communicated to Webinar customers and updated in the Zoom Webinar Service Level Agreement.
