OIT Named One of Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT

Portland State University’s (PSU) Office of Information Technology (OIT) has again made it onto Computerworld’s list of Best Places to Work in IT. The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of top work environments for technology professionals by Foundry’s Computerworld. A list that compiles categories such as benefits, career development, DEI, future of work, training and retention into its considerations.

This is the sixth year that PSU’s OIT has made it onto the list, highlighting that people are a major focus for us. We are also proud to be ranked among the most sustainable, distinctive and transformation schools in the nation. 

At OIT, we are proud of the flexible work environment we have created for our team, and the high quality service we provide to campus. The office, located in downtown Portland has access to a myriad of restaurants and campus resources. Employees engage in recreational activities such as group walks, karaoke nights, and even play ping-pong during breaks or lunch. OIT cares and has invested in our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committees and consistently earns high marks for being LGBTQ-friendly. PSU is nationally recognized for its innovative teaching and academic expertise in fields such as urban and public affairs.
