Enable Duo to increase your security

Ensure that the only person who has access to your account is you.

Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security when you sign in to certain PSU applications such as Gmail, D2L, and Banweb using your Odin account and PSU's Single Sign-On (SSO). Duo also protects certain systems such as PSU's Virtual Private Network (VPN).

How Duo works

To access a protected system or application, you’ll first provide your Odin username and password, and then provide a secondary proof of your identity through your phone, mobile device, hardware token, or security key. This prevents anyone else from signing in with your account, even if they know your password.

On devices that you trust (such as your personal laptop) you can choose "Remember me for 30 days" so you won't have to authenticate with Duo every time you sign in.

Password entered into a login screen, plus proof provided on a mobile device, equals access to a protected system.

Students who sign up and protect SSO receive additional benefits

Are you tired of having to choose a new password every 180 days? Students who sign up for Duo and add protection to SSO applications (such as PSU Gmail, D2L, and Banweb) will receive an Odin password extension benefit: rather than expiring every 180 days, their passwords will never expire.
