Honors students can live together in Stephen Epler Hall. Honors classrooms and the Honors Commons (a student lounge reserved for Honors students) are on the ground floor of Epler Hall.

PSU Honors Community Fellow Alana Baldwin-Joiner

Alana

Hi! My name is Alana, and I’m going into my senior year at PSU in the Honors College! I’m majoring in English and I want to be a copyeditor when I grow up! In my free time you can find me at Starbucks, where I work as a barista, or milling around the Thai food trucks on 4th Ave! I can’t wait to work with my fellow Fellows to put on some awesome events for y'all this year!

Hey there! My name is Samantha, but feel free to call me Sam. I'm a Junior Communications and Psychology double major in the 2020-2021 school year. I’m super passionate about communication, particularly AAC (Alternative Augmented Communication, which involves using external objects like buttons or boards to communicate messages), as well as American Sign Language. Outside of school, I’m into lots of things -- dogs, skateboarding, vintage things, movies (I used to be a Film major!), photography, and sewing. Feel free to contact me if you want!

Hey! My name is Emma and I am going into my second year at PSU in the Honors College. I’m majoring in Applied Linguistics and study advanced German when I can. My favorite parts of linguistics are morphology and etymology, which are the structure and history of words, respectively. I love to knit, crochet, etc. (my family just calls it all “yarn art”). I have two cats, Bront and Taylor, whom I will miss dearly when I’m finally on campus again in late September. You can find me walking around downtown, drinking too much coffee in my apartment, or spending all my money on yarn (there are so many good yarn stores in Portland!).

Hello! My name is Sophia Model, and I am entering my second year at PSU and Honors College. I am bilingual (Russian is my first language) and am a biochemistry major with an emphasis in pre-med. I love to go on walks downtown with a good cup of coffee, color (I highly recommend it, soooo relaxing!), and spend time outdoors. Additionally, I love theatre and acting, and do extra work in the film industry around Portland. Hey, everyone! My name is Lexi and I am going to be a sophomore in the Honors College. I am currently majoring in Finance with a minor in Spanish. Since Fall term will be completely online for me, I will be staying at home in Hawai’i. Even though I won’t be around campus this Fall, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or just to connect! I look forward to getting to host Honors Community events for you all and hope everyone continues to stay safe as we navigate this year together!

Honors College Fellowship

The John and LaRee Caughey Honors College Editorial Fellowship with Tuition Grant is a 12-month fellowship beginning in mid-September. As a cooperative effort between the PSU University Honors College, The John and LaRee Caughey Foundation, and the Pacific Historical Review, the PHR is happy to offer an undergraduate fellow position to a student currently enrolled in the University Honors College as either a rising junior or rising senior.
