Sally McWilliams is a feminist literary scholar. After receiving her PhD from the University of Washington (Seattle), she taught literature and women’s studies classes at a public university in New Jersey. Sally joined PSU in 2009 as the chair of the Department of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Currently, Sally is a professor in WGSS where she teaches courses on feminist and queer theory in addition to a repertoire of queer and women’s literature courses. Her research includes projects on the power of memory in Asian diasporic literature and photography; queer crip fashion; and reconfigurations of the Asian American literary archive through graphic narratives and illustrated memoirs.
