Lindsay Benstead is an expert in Middle East politics, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and public opinion. 

Benstead's research focuses on identity politics (gender, religion, tribe), parliamentary clientelism, public opinion, and survey methodology in the Middle East and North Africa. She has conducted surveys in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Jordan.
