Dr. Almer has conducted 20+ years of research on human capital and gender issues in accounting organizations. She has served on the AICPA Women's Initiatives Executive Committee and published over a dozen articles on the topic. She also conducts accounting education research and was the Senior Editor for Issues in Accounting Education, the top-rated journal in the field.
