Deanna Cor's research focuses on developing and enhancing multicultural counseling competencies in counseling students and current practitioners, specifically for working with clients identifying as trans and gender nonconforming. 

Cor is currently conducting research to examine experiences of trans military personnel and veterans with mental health counselors.

They are particularly interested in discussing queer and trans rights, health and safety.
