JOIN US FOR KICKSTART WEEKEND: COMMUNITY EDITION

Kick-off your year at PSU with a fun, 2 day immersive workshop to bring your ideas to reality! Join us at the PSU Center for Entrepreneurship for an intensive exploration on building community in an increasingly disconnected & polarized world, with a special focus on Human Centered Design & Business Modeling.

Participants will be working with a team of fellow students, paired with mentors from the Portland startup community, including PSU faculty and staff to experience innovation in action, and grow your entrepreneurial skills.

 

Through hands-on interactive exercises, participants will learn:

  • How to Ideate
  • Develop Potential Solutions
  • Conduct Market Research
  • Prototype and Integrate User Experience Design 
  • Imaginative Co-Working
  • Communicate and Validate Ideas Effectively
  • Insight into the Innovation Process

The workshops will culminate into the delivery of final presentations where teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for feedback. Students will benefit from professional development resources while gaining the confidence and competence to apply their skills in our upcoming invention competitions: the CleanTech Challenge and InventOR (taking place in the 2024 spring term).

 

Eligibility: Kickstart Weekend is open to current PSU undergraduate and graduate students.
