We know how meaningful it is for graduates and their loved ones to celebrate together at commencement. To ensure fairness and maximize attendance, Portland State uses a multi-round ticketing system. This approach gives all graduates an equal opportunity to secure guest tickets and helps us fill every available seat.

Important: All ceremonies are ticketed events. Tickets may only be claimed by the graduating student.

Tickets Available Starting Wednesday, April 15

Graduates from eligible schools and colleges may claim their commencement tickets starting Wednesday, April 15. Each graduating student must claim a free Graduate Ticket to attend their ceremony.

In addition to their own ticket, graduates may also claim:

  • Up to 3 free Guest Tickets
  • Additional $15 Guest Tickets (availability varies by ceremony and venue capacity)

Guest ticket availability is not guaranteed after Thursday, May 15.
