Portland State graduated nearly 6,100 students on Sunday, June 16 at Moda Center in Portland. They came from 47 states – as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands – as well as 56 nations.

Thirty-three percent were students of color, reflecting the university’s growing diversity. The oldest bachelor’s degree recipient was 67; the youngest was 17.

PSU's Acting President Stephen Percy said he's honored to celebrate commencement with students.

"Hard work and dedication brought you here today. So did the contributions of the family members, friends, mentors and educators who supported you on your journey," Percy said. "I encourage you to take everything you have learned at PSU to improve the lives of others. I look forward to the day that your success stories will inspire future graduating classes."
