The Millar Library Bike Garage (LBG) is a 1000 square foot, one-story bike parking structure. Adjacent to the bike garage is the Millar Library Food Cart Pod which is the largest centralized group of food carts on the PSU campus. The pod currently hosts 9 vendors and offers covered seating and wifi access. LBG offers secure bicycle parking for 116 bicycles plus two cargo/oversize bike specific spaces. Features of the garage include 4 outlets for charging e-bikes, an electric bike pump, self-service repair stand, security cameras, 24/7 access via PSU ID card and a bike lock storage rack. Both facilities are located across from the Library on the southwest corner of SW Harrison Street and 10th Avenue just west of the Blackstone and south of the Montgomery Residence Hall.
Prior to its completion for Fall term 2017, the Library Bike Garage was called the Central Campus Cycle Station or the Tenth & Harrison Bike Garage (THBG). The facility was designed by Bridgetown Design and constructed by TS Gray Construction for a total $398,000, which included the construction of the garage and site, and food cart improvements. The garage was made possible by with a $150,000 Metro Regional Travel Options grant.
