Tutor Ready Reading & Tutor Ready Writing (
2015-2020)
To address the national dearth of materials for literacy tutors who are working with adult learners, this project produced two websites and accompanying illustrative videos organized around tutor questions. The project was a collaboration between subject matter experts/national trainers from Portland State University, Kent State University, Sacramento Public Library, Alameda Reads, and from private practice. This project was coordinated by Paul Heavenridge at Literacyworks and funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation with research support from the U.S. Department of Education.
