Meet Your Canvas Sandbox!

PSU faculty and staff can now get a practice Sandbox to try out how Canvas works! This is a great service to pair with the Canvas Information Sessions hosted weekly by OAI, where you can bring questions from your experiments in your sandbox.

While you will see many of the same kinds of tools you used in D2L, they may have new and exciting features you can use to enhance your students' experience. Check out the D2L and Canvas: Tool Comparison.

This is your chance to get to know our new LMS, so push buttons, make a fun page, build a quiz... This sandbox is your place to try new things and get ready for all that Canvas has to offer.

Practice moving your D2L courses into Canvas.

There may be some clean-up that needs to happen once we migrate your courses into the final Canvas environment. This can be an opportunity to see where you may want to make changes to your other D2L courses before the migration process begins.

This is a great way to get to know Canvas, just keep in mind that the version of Canvas we are building for PSU, that you will eventually teach in, may look slightly different. Anything you build now in this sandbox will have to be migrated to the final version of Canvas if you want to use it as part of a course you teach. These sandboxes cannot be used for active courses and may not have student enrollments in them.
