A Community-Based Learning Book Group

We are delving into the latest insights into Community-Based Learning from Dr. Christine Cress and fellow PSU-affiliated authors.

We are exploring the Faculty Service Learning Guidebook, a "practical guide to designing, teaching, and coordinating service-learning courses, and for developing reciprocal community partnerships and community-based research through a lens of equity that addresses the endemic racial, social, economic, and environmental disparities across society." Participants receive a complimentary copy of the book!

Book Group Schedule: ๐Ÿšฉ Start Date: April 9th, 2024 ๐Ÿ End Date: June 4th, 2024 ๐Ÿ•’ Time: Every other Tuesday from 3 - 4pm.

This is an opportunity to enrich your pedagogy and engage with vital community-based principles.

Harold McNaron is committed to education as a tool for social justice. As Teaching, Learning and Engagement Associate, he supports faculty teaching community-based learning courses via one-on-one consultations, syllabi reviews, interactive workshops and more. An alum of PSUโ€™s Graduate School of Education, Haroldโ€™s work is informed by the theory and practice he has gathered from his time in activist spaces, the nonprofit sector and student affairs.
