Event Care

Due to limited staff capacity, we are unable to offer Event Care for Fall Term, 2022. Please check back in Winter Term. If we are able to increase our staffing levels we will resume this service.

Special Event Care

Are you a student group, department, college, or otherwise affiliated with PSU? Are you hosting a conference or event on or off campus and interested in providing childcare? Little Vikings has 3 different options for you!

Flexible and affordable! Little Vikings can provide care for your event during regular business hours, evenings, and weekends!

We are slowly revamping event care services after a long hiatus due to Covid.  We will not be able to accommodate all requests for event care due to staffing shortages.  Please make all requests for event care at least 3 weeks in advance.  A request is not a guarantee for service.  A staff member will respond to your request and let you know if we are able to take on your event.  Thank you for your patience!

OPTION 1: Care provided near your event space (on or off campus).  This option is usually more easily accessible for participants. We will bring supplies and activities for the children. Cost for this service is outlined below.

OPTION 2:  Care provided at Little Vikings. Little Vikings can open for special events outside our regular business hours. The center would be opened only for your event participants. Cost for this service is outlined below. The maximum number of children Little Vikings can accommodate is 8 children ages 6 weeks to 36 months, and 7 children ages 3 to 12 years.

OPTION 3: The final option is for the event attendees to individually reserve care through Little Vikings during Little Vikings regular business hours, from 7:45 AM to 7:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 AM to 5 PM on Friday. The attendees would be responsible for paying for care in advance.

Little Vikings is a licensed childcare center. Care provided inside the center is provided under this license. If you choose care provided near your event, care will still be provided by staff from Little Vikings. All staff have cleared background checks and received specialized training in first aid, CPR, recognizing and reporting child abuse, and food handling. They are experienced in working with young children, and will provide a safe, fun atmosphere for the children. We can also offer programming themed to the event the parents are attending.

Event Care Rates 2020

*Base Rate Covers 8 Children. Events will be charged per child for each additional child. Additional Set Up/Breakdown fees will apply.

*Room rental fees will be added to the reservation if applicable
