Sexual Misconduct Response
Sexual misconduct does not occur solely between specific types of people or in specific places; incidents of sexual misconduct can happen to anyone, regardless of sex, gender, age, ethnicity, class, religion, sexual orientation, clothing, demeanor, relationship status, or any other choice or identity. The only person who is ever at fault for sexual misconduct is the perpetrator.
Portland State University has established this site in order to provide the campus community with a coordinated set of campus resources to educate, empower, and protect.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by sexual misconduct, please utilize the available resources as a first step in caring for yourself and the PSU community.
In August 2020, the federal Department of Education issued regulations addressing higher education institution’s response to sexual harassment. In response, PSU implemented an interim Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy and revised PSU’s Prohibited Discrimination policy.
