What do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian?
I have many plans for using my Russian fluency. Mainly I plan on working in translation right after graduation and then applying for jobs in public or civil sectors of the U.S in which I can use my Russian fluency to bridge gaps of misunderstanding.

What attracted you to the PSU Russian Flagship?
I love being able to converse with people in Russian and seeing the rich culture behind the language. This program is unique,  designed so that you learn not only to speak Russian but to speak it at a professional level.

What’s the best aspect of being in the PSU Russian Flagship?
The faculty is the best aspect in my opinion. You speak only Russian with your professors so you build a relationship with them in the language. This feature prepares you for future work utilizing your Russian language skills.

Why is fluency in Russian important to you?
As the world becomes smaller and globalization becomes more and more apparent, it is important to be able to speak other languages in order to establish understanding between cultures. The ability to speak Russian professionally is important to me because I want to become a bridge of understanding between my culture and theirs.
