Career Goals: What do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian?
I have an interest in working in international relations or some related part of the federal government. I believe majoring in Political Science and Russian opens the doors to unique opportunities and a variety of pathways to applying the Russian language.
What attracted you to the Flagship Program?
The Russian Flagship Program offers professional proficiency and cultural competency which opens the doors to a multitude of opportunities. The intensive curriculum that the program offers in combination with small class sizes ultimately attracted me to join the program.
What’s the best aspect of being in the Flagship Program?
The dedicated faculty and sense of community bring out some of the best aspects of the Russian Flagship Program. I have enjoyed getting to know a variety of people and attending program-organized cultural events. The Flagship Program cultivates a sense of belonging and encourages success.
Why is fluency in Russian vital to you?
It is important to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in any language. It would not be possible to express my true ideas and thoughts without achieving fluency.
