I graduated with my Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Local Government in Fall 2020 from the PSU Hatfield School of Government. I have worked for the City of Scappoose as a Program Analyst working with the Public Works Director, City Manager, and other governmental departments.

What do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian?
I plan on working in the United States Department of State, serving my country in a capacity that requires highly developed Russian language skills.

What attracted you to the PSU Russian Flagship?
The Russian Flagship at PSU is exactly the sort of program I was looking for. It is an immersive program headed by a knowledgeable and passionate faculty and filled with highly motivated students.

What’s the best aspect of being in the PSU Russian Flagship?
The Russian Flagship at PSU is a very close-knit group. The instructors and students have a close relationship that makes for an incredible learning environment.

Why is fluency in Russian important to you?
Fluent Russian speakers will be vital to the national security of this country, now and in the future. Experts in the Russian language and culture will be needed to further improve relations with the Russian Federation.
