MILLENNIALS: A NEW FORCE IN REAL ESTATE

  • Millennials are now the largest generation at 78.6 million. How will Gen Y generation's preferences and choices affect demand for real estate?

  • Gen Y-ers are delaying marriage and children, so what does this mean for the demand for homes vs. apartments and for urban vs. suburban living?

  • How can tech companies attract and retain Millennial talent through innovative office space?

  • How do companies balance cost effectiveness and space flexibility in a multi-generation workspace?

  • What type of retail environment does the Gen Y generation look for when shopping?

These, and other questions, will be discussed at PSU Center for Real Estate's 10th Annual Real Estate Conference.

2015 Keynote Speaker: Leanne Lachman, Lachman Associates

Attendees to this event will receive 2 continuing education hours for Oregon brokers and Oregon and Washington Appraisers.

PSU’s Annual Real Estate Conference has become the event for Portland’s local real estate community. Year after year the conference’s sold out crowd knows, without a doubt, that the conference will provide a solid program by national and local thought leaders. No event in town attracts as many senior real estate executives and their employees.

Conference Sponsorship Proceeds at Work

Sponsorship proceeds not only enable Portland State to produce a high quality event, but also provide essential operating funds for the Center for Real Estate, supporting research and student services. Sponsorship funds from prior conferences have accelerated the achievement of the Center’s mission to attract, educate and place students desiring to work in the commercial real estate industry. With the launch of PSU’s Master in Real Estate Development program in 2012, sponsorship dollars are critical to the successful recruitment and placement of these graduate students within the commercial real estate industry.
