The DSC allows studies of phase transitions over a wide range of temperatures (-120C to 450C) useful for characterization of polymers, liquid crystals, and solids. The TGA instrument enables gravimetric studies up to a maximum temperature of 1100C. It helps in quantifying of Organic or any combustible compounds present in the given sample.
