  1. Berrin Erdogan, Business faculty, discussed the impact of overqualified workers at KOIN AM Extra, Oct. 24. 
  2. Óscar Fernández, University Studies, was featured in KGW’s “Education News” on Nov. 3 as part of the inauguration of PSU’s DREAMers Resource Center.
  3. Paola López-Duarte, Environmental Science and Management faculty, received the 2023 SACNAS Distinguished Mentor Award which honors her commitment to fostering the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American scientists in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.
  4. Madhu Narayanan, Educational Leadership & Policy faculty, responded to a discussion on KGW on Oct. 31 on school absenteeism, highlighting that students from marginalized communities have higher rates of missing schools and stressing the importance of understanding students' needs. 
  5. Ashley Streig, Geology faculty, led a table activity and conducted public outreach titled “Understanding the Faults Beneath Our Feet” on Nov. 3 at OMSI Meet a Scientist in Portland, Oregon.
