Self-Service Repair

We love to help you get your hands dirty and learn by doing! Our friendly and capable staff are always available to help guide our members through everything from basic maintenance to complicated repairs. When you stop by with your bike, we'll gladly inspect it for you and assess what repairs are necessary or recommended. We will then work with you to ensure that all repairs you learn and perform are done both safely and correctly. It could take a few minutes or it could take more than one visit, but we will always do our utmost to get you back on the road and riding smoothly.

 

Parts & Accessories

The Bike Hub carries a small but diverse selection of quality repair parts and carefully chosen accessories, all with the everyday bike commuter in mind. Stop by to check out our selection of lights, locks, fenders, bags, rain gear, helmets, pumps, and tools. We also carry all the basics you need to maintain your bike including cables, chains, tubes, tires, and brake pads as well as select drivetrain parts and components. Professional Service & Repair

Cone Wrenches

It's our goal to meet all the basic repair needs of PSU commuters. Sometimes you just don't have the time or the desire to do the work yourself. That's why we offer professional repair services by our trained mechanics. Depending on the work you need done, we can often turn repair jobs around in the same day or by the next business day. For a complete list of repair services, please click here. If you see that something you're looking for is missing from this list, please be sure to ask us in person or over the phone about it. Even if it's a repair we don't offer, we are more than happy to give you a referral to one of Portland's many excellent nearby bike shops

 

Bike Rentals

We have a fleet of KHS Urban Xpress commuter bicycles available for rent to students, employees, and visitors of PSU. Whether you're visiting PSU for a conference or you're a student who wants to show their parents around town, our rental bicycles include everything you need: helmet, lights and a sturdy lock, as well as full fenders and a basket. It's the perfect way to experience Portland and PSU. Click here to see our rental rates.

 

Lock Removal

Lost your keys? Lock not unlocking? We can help. If you're bike is stuck on campus because you can't get your lock open, our lock removal service can get you out of this unfortunate jam. For a small fee, we will assess the problem, attempt to repair the lock if possible, or cut through the lock if necessary. If the Bike Hub is particularly busy, we may not be able to remove your lock right away, so please be patient with us. We will do our best to get you back on the road as soon as we can. Secure Bike Parking Permits

Keep it dry. Keep it safe. The Bike Hub is your official location to sign up and purchase access to PSU's secure bike parking locations. We sell quarterly and annual permits which begin in the Fall and pro-rate through the remainder of the year. Quarterly permits are $15 and annual permits are $45. Note: in order to purchase a secure bike parking permit, you will need to have a PSU proximity access card. This is a special PSU ID card that can grant you access to secure areas on campus. VikeBikes Bike Loan Program

Our goal is simple -- we want to make commuting by bike to PSU as easy and affordable as possible. With the help of some visionary PSU students, we've created the VikeBikes program, which helps break down one of the most costly barriers to cycling: buying a bike. By refurbishing bikes that have been abandoned on campus, we've created a commute-ready fleet of VikeBikes that can be rented for up to 3 academic terms (Fall, Winter, & Spring). The cost to check out a VikeBike is just $40 per term, and if you want, we can even charge that fee to your PSU student account. Click here for the VikeBikes application form and additional info.

 

Self-Serve Bicycle Repair Stands

Sometimes your bicycle just needs a quick tweak but you aren’t near the Bike Hub or it is after hours. Don’t worry. We’ve still got you covered. PSU boasts four self-serve Fixit bicycle repair stands that can assist in making a number of different basic adjustments. These repair stands are full of solutions and free to use by anyone on campus.
