Portland Bureau of Transportation
The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is a community partner which plans, builds, manages, and maintains an effective and safe transportation system to provide people and businesses access to a variety of transportation options.
PBOT provides two hotlines for cyclists to report roadway maintenance issues:
- Pothole + Pavement Repair Hotline (503) 823-BUMP (2867)
- Cyclist Hotline (>503) 823-CYCL (2925)
If stop light loop detectors aren't detecting you, or if a bike lane needs to be swept free of loose gravel or excess debris, please call the Cyclist Hotline.
You can also submit requests for low-cost, small-scale repairs to Portland bicycle routes on the PBOT website under the "Bike Route Need Maintenance?" option (in the left-hand menu).
SmartTrips
SmartTrips is a program organized by PBOT to encourage the use of alternative transportation choices in the Portland area.
