Economist Josh Lehner Sounds the Alarm(s) on Oregon's Economic Future

Oregon Population Declines for First Time Since 1983, When Timber Was Ailing

In his role as a state economist, PSU alum Josh Lehner provided a voice of reason to concerned Oregonians during the pandemic. His latest forecast for Oregon is not quite so optimistic.

“This is a two- or three-alarm fire,” Josh Lehner, an economist, tweeted about the report. “If 2023 doesn’t rebound, it’s a five-alarm fire for the economic outlook.”
