PSU Now Boarding: Business Class

In Fall 2024, The School of Business at Portland State University, in partnership with the Office of Admissions, launched the “Now Boarding: Business Class” campaign. This initiative, which ran from October 21 to November 15, was designed to commemorate the opening of PDX’s new terminal while celebrating the presence of local Portland businesses featured in the airport’s retail and dining offerings.

A central component of the campaign was the PDX Pop-Up Shop, hosted within the Karl Miller Center. This curated retail experience spotlighted a selection of Portland-based brands, providing visitors with the opportunity to engage with the enterprises shaping the new PDX terminal experience. The Pop-Up featured brand-sponsored giveaways, exclusive merchandise, including PSU apparel inspired by the airport’s iconic carpet. These partnerships served as an immersive campaign to highlight the region’s entrepreneurial and creative economy.

“Now Boarding: Business Class” exemplified the intersection of higher education, regional commerce, and civic engagement. It underscored Portland State University’s ongoing commitment to cultivating partnerships that enrich student learning while strengthening ties with the broader Portland community.
