HONORING THE MEMORY OF DICK VISSE

Dick Visse

At PSU, Dick was a quiet powerhouse for 30 years, serving as an accounting professor, department chair and associate dean, bringing accounting to life for students. He helped create the Master of Tax program to advance student careers in the profession.

Dick maintained a tax practice in addition to his PSU responsibilities, served as the President of the OSCPA, and chaired the committee to start the OSCPA Educational Foundation which to date has awarded approximately 1,750 scholarships totaling over $3.5 million dollars.

Dick’s true impact was measured in the people he championed. A source of support and wise counsel, he offered generous time and resources to colleagues and family. He had a gift for recognizing talent and encouraging others to pursue bold roles and opportunities. Dick left a lasting impact on PSU's accounting program and will be deeply missed.
