Steve Bleiler, mathematics and statistics faculty, gave an hour-long invited presentation to the 11th Algebraic Topology: Methods, Computation and Science conference titled Novel Visualizations of Quantum Operations via Toral Geometry in Bozeman, Montana on July 24.

Cassio de Oliveira, world languages and literatures faculty, gave a presentation titled Mark Twain and his Writings in the Soviet Interwar Imagination at the XVII International Congress of Slavists, Sorbonne Université, Paris, on Aug. 27.

Sally Guyon, curriculum and instruction and early childhood education faculty, co-presented a research paper Making Young Children's Interactions with their City Visible and Valued at the Oxford Research Round Table Symposium on July 15 in Oxford, U.K..

Hollie Hix-Small, College of Education faculty, gave an invited presentation, Importance of effective referral mechanisms to connect identified children with needed services, for the UNICEF South Asia Webinar Series on Early Identification & Intervention for Children with Disabilities on July 14th.

Will Parnell, curriculum and instruction and early childhood education faculty, was invited and co- presented a research paper Making Young Children's Interactions with their City Visible and Valued at the Oxford Research Round Table Symposium on July 15 in Oxford, U.K..

Thea Prieto, English faculty, spoke at the 83rd World Science Fiction Convention as an author panelist, the panels were titled Mythology and Authenticity in Fantasy and PR as an Author from Aug. 13-17 in Seattle.

Eva Thanheiser, chair of the mathematics and statistics department, gave a presentation titled Attending to Participation Patterns to Center Marginalized Learners that focused on how K–12 teachers used the EQUIP tool as part of a bilingual professional development model at PME 48 in Santiago, Chile.

Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, gave a keynote address, Beyond the Model Minority: Korean (Dis)Advances, at the 2025 ISSR International Symposium: Time, Space, and Memories of Korean Americans: Life Histories from Oregon and Insights from the U.S. Census, organized by the Institute of Social Science Research, Kyungpook National University.
