The College of the Arts proudly announces that it will offer $5 tickets to selected performances for those who receive SNAP benefits, through the Regional Arts & Culture Council's Arts for All program.
The College of the Arts offers hundreds of performances and other arts experiences each year, ranging from concerts and lectures given by visiting professional artists and virtuoso faculty members to exhibitions and theatrical and operatic performances by talented students. While a large number of these arts experiences are free thanks to the generosity of donors, others require paid admission – critical revenue that allows these programs to continue.
The College’s vision, purpose and actions are also driven by a solemn commitment to expand the reach of the arts and open these experiences to our wider community, including those who have limited income. Programs across the College are built on the belief in the power of the arts to help us strive toward a society that is compassionate, just, and welcoming to all.
In keeping with these goals, we are thrilled to offer $5 admission to SNAP recipients for many of our ticketed events. Limited quantities of $5 tickets are now available to selected performances in the College of the Arts.
- Eligible patrons: Anyone who receives food relief through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and has the Oregon Trail Card or Washington State Quest Card can purchase up to two $5 tickets per participating event, subject to availability.
- How to identify a participating event: Events that offer $5 tickets will list the Arts for All pricing in the event description on the purchase page at the PSU Box Office (www.pdx.edu/boxoffice).
- How to purchase: Arts for All tickets may be purchased via phone (503-725-3305), in person at the PSU Box Office (1825 SW Broadway, Portland, Oregon), or at the event starting one hour before the performance.
- Proof of eligibility will be required when you pick up your tickets.
