ECE-410 Be Heard – Achieving Technical Success


Advanced course designed to enhance technical communication skills that are required for success in engineering
professional environment. This will be a hands-on, intense, highly interactive course taught by an Intel VP with 27
years of engineering leadership experience. Students will learn to tailor technical verbal and written updates to
various audiences including technical peers, technical leaders, business leaders and customers. The art of
summarizing technical, complex information will be developed. After successful completion of the course, students
will be well equipped to enter engineering workforce to become more successful engineers and advance effectively in
engineering career.


Prerequisite: ECE-300 level course(s), basic knowledge of presentation software PowerPoint or Google Slides, email
editors.

This course will be taught by Tom Garrison, Vice President and General Manager of Intel Corporation's Client Security Group. Tom is an experienced executive currently leading Intel’s PC client Cyber Security organization. Over his 27+ year tenure at Intel he has held leadership positions in PC Client and Data Center, Product Strategic Planning and Customer/Industry engagement with Fortune CIO/CTO/CISO leaders.
