Title: Triaging Responsiveness in New States with Limited Capacity: Evidence from Turkey

Asli Cansunar is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington. Previously she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Nuffield College and the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in Economics from Duke University. Dr. Cansunar studies how politics and the economy shape each other over time, with a focus on inequality and state-building. She is the author of award-winning articles that are published in various leading journals including the Journal of Politics, World Politics, and the Journal of Political Institutions and Political Economy.
