Previously she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Nuffield College and the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in Economics from Duke University. Dr. Cansunar studies how politics and the economy shape each other over time, with a focus on inequality and state-building. She is the author of award-winning articles that are published in various leading journals including the Journal of Politics, World Politics, and the Journal of Political Institutions and Political Economy.This event is organized by Middle East studies Center and co-sponsored by Department of Politics and Global Affairs community
