Temporary Installations

Current PSU students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to request to display temporary installations inside buildings and at outdoor locations on the PSU campus.

To make a request, please use the Art and Installation Request Form. This form is also used when requesting the use of sidewalk chalk on pavements and surfaces around the campus. Please also refer to the Art and Installation Safety Guidelines.

The Art and Installation Review Panel who make decisions about temporary installations are:

  • Director of Capital Projects and Construction
  • Director of Facilities and Property Management
  • Director of Environmental Health and Safety
  • Department Head and Facility Manager (for department controlled buildings and spaces such as Academic and Student Recreation Center, Smith Memorial Student Union, University Place Hotel, Housing buildings)
  • Depart Head or Dean (for academic spaces)

The panel ensures that installations are installed using required building codes; materials selected are low maintenance, weather-resistant, vandal-proof and appropriate for the intended installation; the installation does not pose a risk to the health and safety of the campus community.
