DR. DINH LOC DUONG
Dinh Loc Duong earned his Ph.D. from the Sungkyunkwan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SAINT) in 2012 and continued his research there as a postdoctoral researcher from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as a junior scientist in Kern's department at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research. He subsequently became a research professor at the IBS Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP), Institute of Basic Science, Korea, where he worked until 2019. In 2019, he was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy Science at Sungkyunkwan University, where he led the 2D magnetism group at CINAP. From 2022 to 2024, he served as an Assistant Research Professor at MonArk Quantum Foundry and the Department of Physics at Montana State University. In 2024, he established a research group at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Maine, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests include the magnetic, superconducting, and topological properties of 2D materials, as well as their growth, characterization, and applications.
