DR. AMIEE POTTER

Amiee B. Potter earned a PhD in biological anthropology from the University of Oregon (2004) with concentration in skeletal biology, paleopathology, bioarchaeology, australopithecine evolution, and molecular anthropology. Dr. Potter has held several post-doctoral positions in human genetics and genomics and has served as an analyst in microbial and human forensics. Currently she is an Assistant Staff Scientist in the Knight Diagnostics Laboratory at OHSU where she is part of a team using genomic data to aid in molecular clinical diagnostics of rare inherited disorders. Amiee's research interests are dental anthropology, skeletal biology, human craniofacial growth and development, contribution of genetic variation to disease, understanding gene/phenotype associations, and understanding health and disease in past populations as recorded in skeletal, dental, and molecular records.
