Thalia Sophiana has worked at Portland State University for the past decade, first as program coordinator of a Russian language DOD grant program and, most recently, as the programs coordinator for the School of Gender, Race & Nations which houses the Departments of Black Studies, Chicanx & Latinx Studies, Indigenous Nations Studies and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Her 31 years of administrative and executive business experience, spanning private industries and governmental agencies, provides a solid footing on which to coordinate these complex and diverse groups in support of each program's greater mission.
