Eric Mankowski's expertise focuses on masculinity and gender-based forms of violence, including intimate partner abuse and gun violence. At Portland State, he established the first course ever taught on the psychology of men and masculinities. Mankowski also studies how battering intervention programs work as part of the coordinated community response to intimate partner violence.
