Portland State University has again made it onto Computerworld's list of Best Places to Work in IT. This is PSU's sixth year in a row of making the list.

“People are number one for us, and this award is a reflection of our amazing team of dedicated professionals,” said Ryan Bass, Chief Information Officer at PSU.

The article in ComputerWorld identifies workplace flexibility, diversity and opportunity as key factors in naming this year’s top IT employers. PSU’s Office of Technology (OIT) is ranked #47 out of 58 large employers (5,000 employees or more) identified as “Best Places to Work in IT”. PSU is one of three higher education institutions on the list, the others are University of Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins. Larger companies such as FedEx and Kaiser Permanente also made the list.

“Our staff’s commitment to each other and our organization have grown and sustained a unique workplace, worthy of recognition,” said Bass.

Computerworld evaluates organizations based on the following categories: DEI, employee engagement, hybrid work, benefits, career development, and IT growth.
