  1. Scott Burns, Geology faculty emeritus, appeared Oct. 7 on KOIN and KGW about the Lacombe 4.4 earthquake in the southern Willamette Valley.  
  2. Scott Burns, Geology faculty emeritus, appeared Oct. 22 on KOIN about the potential of debris flows from forest fire areas when rain arrived.
  3. Óscar Fernández, University studies, published a podcast that looks into disrupting trauma tourism for Academic Minute, organized by the American Association of Colleges and Universities. 
  4. Shirley Jackson, Sociology faculty, was featured on an episode of PDXPLORES, PSU’s research podcast. 
  5. Carlos Mena, Business faculty, joined the editorial team of International Journal of Operations and Production Management as an associate editor.
  6. David Peterson del Mar, History faculty, was quoted and paraphrased in a New York Times opinion piece published Oct. 30 titled, “After a Professor's Firing, College Students and Professors Weigh In on the New Landscape of Higher Ed.”
  7. Olyssa Starry, PSU Honors College faculty, received the research award at the 2022 Cities Alive conference hosted by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.
  8. Jack Straton, Physics and University Studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of the Abstract Sanctuary Exhibition at the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery, an international joint show of 2D and 3D artists, in Portland from March 15 - April 23.
