Bright Alozie, faculty in Black Studies and affiliate faculty in the History and WGSS Departments, has received the 2025 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Research Fellowship to support archival research at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt for his project, The Beautiful Game, A Bumpy Road: Petitioning FIFA, African Voices, and the Fight for Football Recognition, 1945–1975.
Jacob Rose, Institute for Natural Resources research assistant, has received the Sandra Denyes Diedrich Award from the Oregon Invasive Species Council, honoring outstanding contributions to protecting Oregon from invasive species. Rose was recognized for his leadership in successfully navigating the technical re-homing of the Oregon Invasive Species Reporting Hotline, a critical reporting tool.
