Bates, urban studies and planning faculty, have been awarded a research grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Policies for Action (P4A) program. P4A has funded 12 research teams as part of a call to identify housing policies, laws, and other system and community levers that can promote equity and health. PSU’s team will examine how the Portland Housing Bureau’s community preference policy affects the well-being of residents returning to gentrifying neighborhoods in Northeast Portland.
