The Joseph C. Blumel Bike Garage (BBG) is a small one-story structure located on SW Montgomery Street between SW 11th and 12th Avenues just south of Joseph C. Blumel Hall and east of the Saint Helens Hall. BBG offers secure bicycle parking including card controlled access, surveillance cameras, and a self-service repair stand with tools and air pump.
The Blumel Bike Garage was originally an open, covered bike parking area constructed in 1988 as part of the West Hall original construction (now Blumel Hall). In 2009 the structure was re-designed by Merryman Barnes Architects to include controlled access, an eco-roof, and a two-tiered bike rack system offering 71 parking spaces.
