Michael is a strong advocate of general education and lifelong learning. After working in television production, programming and engineering for nearly nine years, he transitioned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications towards marketing and promotion. Eventually his interests in education moved him into supporting academic and administrative units at the University of Arizona and, later, Portland State University in 2011 after he, his husband and two Jack Russell Terriers moved to the Pacific Northwest. Michael has a propensity towards organizing. He is an Allied Member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and has dabbled in professional organizing for many years. He enjoys growing both vegetables and flowers, studying unique languages like Icelandic and Welsh, listening to Brazilian music, and drinking wine or beer when the opportunity presents itself.
