April joined Student Legal Services in 2014. April graduated Lewis & Clark Law School in 2008. That same year she was recognized as a Shepherd Scholar for her advocacy for queer & transgender individuals. After law school April clerked for a Multnomah Circuit Court judge. She then went on to represent low-income clients in a variety of family law cases at St. Andrew Legal Clinic. April is also an advocate for tenant rights. She represented victims of housing discrimination through the Fair Housing Council of Oregon, she served two terms on the board of directors of the Community Alliance of Tenants and she continues to advocate for tenants. April enjoys time with her cats & playing pinball.
