  1. Jon Holt, World Languages and Literatures faculty, presented a paper titled “Doraemon Matters: How the Manga Robot Cat from the Future Lives on in Japan Today" on Sept. 19 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
  2. Jon Holt, World Languages and Literatures faculty, presented a paper titled “Romance Comics, Japanese Daily Life (Seikatsu), and Kamimura Kazuo’s manga Co-Habitation Age" on Sept. 20 at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.
  3. Maria Kapantzoglou, Speech and Hearing Sciences faculty, co-presented a symposium at the International Symposium on Bilingualism, titled “Code-Switching During Language Acquisition: Examining Parent and Child Language in Spanish-English Speakers in the U.S.,” June 30 in Sydney, Australia.
