  5. Shelly Chabon, vice provost for academic personnel and dean of interdisciplinary general education and speech and hearing faculty, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the highest honor issued by the association.
  6. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, served as a session organizer and presider for “’Let’s Have a Real Talk’: The Dynamics of Gender, Race, and Allies” at the Society for the Study of Social Problems Annual Meeting on Aug. 4.

  11. Nicole Miller Rigelman, education faculty, was awarded the Stewart Professorship in Mathematics Teaching and Learning.
